Chorus Endowment

The Houston Symphony Chorus Endowment was established in 1997 to celebrate the Chorus' 50th anniversary. Thanks to the generosity of Chorus members, alumni and friends, it has grown steadily, providing support for a variety of activities that have enhanced Houston's choral life and contributed to the high musical level of the all-volunteer Chorus. Projects partly funded by the Endowment have included our a cappella CD, Voices of the Symphony, and a performance Mendelssohn’s great oratorio, St Paul.

Looking forward, the Endowment will help to underwrite a new work for orchestra and chorus to be premiered by the Houston Symphony. Plans are also in the works that will enable the Endowment to continue its mission of enriching choral music in the Houston community. We invite all who love choral music to become Chorus supporters and help us secure our artistic legacy for generations to come.
